Wade Deeper into the Presence of God

Worship

The River Church worships in a uniquely personal manner. Everyone is expected and encouraged to get something different out of the worship.

Sermons are relevant and share who God is and how God works in our lives and world. The room is decorated to facilitate personal spirituality. The music is contemporary and easy to sing. Participants are guided through a brief meditation and prayers to find their own connection to God. Communion is celebrated every week, and absolutely everyone can receive it (including young children).

Child of God
Be the Centre

Worship for Children

Older children start in worship and may either stay the entire time or go to a separate room for Children's Church. A free, professionally staffed nursery is available for younger children.

midweek worship

During the week leading up to Easter, The River offers three different experiences.

Two Seder meals will be served on Maundy Thursday on April 1. Participants  experience the Last Supper of Jesus by experiencing Passover and then eating a meal together. The Children's Seder is at church at 5:30 p.m. The Adult Seder will be hosted in a home. Register online for both.

Good Friday worship will be April 2 at 7:00 p.m. at church. In this worship we remember and give thanks for the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us. While it is a somber event, there is no Easter without Good Friday.

Attire

Dress is casual. Yep...that pretty much says it all....

Attenders

Everyone is welcome, and people of all ages and religious backgrounds (including none) attend. Everyone can participate fully, including receiving communion if they wish. We are all equal in the eyes of God.
