Adult Small Groups For people wishing to deepen their journey of faith through conversation with their peers. There are no experts, just folks like you learning together what it means to have a deeper walk with God. Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. Email here for more information.
7 Bridges to Recovery Goes to visit “the last, the least and the lost”— the homeless on the streets of Atlanta. We partner with 7 Bridges to Recovery and go every other Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. Contact Beth for more info and how you can help.
Habitat for Humanity For adults who want to serve God by building a house for a needy but worthy family. For a volunteer packet, click here. Email if you are interested.
Hunger Walk on March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Turner Field is a great way to help the hungry. Go online to join our team, "The River Lutheran Church," and start asking friends and family to sponsor you or to join you on the walk.
Beer and Bible For guys who like to drink beer and talk about God, life and the bible. Gathers every other Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Taco Mac at the corner of Windward Parkway and Highway 9. Check the calendar for specific dates and register online.
Beads and Bible For women who like to bead and talk about God, life and the bible. Gathers every Wednesday starting March 17 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Email Carol if you are interested.
Raw @ The River offers rejuvenation & detoxification through diet. Raw @ The River gathers every other Sunday at 5:00 p.m. for a potluck and instruction on how to keep the body healthy by eating food that fits the way God made our body to work. Beginner Yoga is for people who have never done Yoga and want to give it a try. Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. A new class will run March 11- April 22, with no class April 1. Cost is $50 for the six week session or $10 per week if you drop in. Register online.
Zumba is an internationally inspired dance exercise class. Having fun and working out are not mutually exclusive! Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Cost is $40 for a month (8 classes) or $8 per class if you drop in. Register here.
Spiritual Direction is individual coaching sessions where people meet one-on-one with a Spiritual Director to discuss God's activity in their life and what they might need for their journey. Email Pastor Scott to make an appointment and discover what God is doing in your life. Costs vary.
