Wade Deeper into the Presence of God
Have you ever been whitewater rafting? If you have, then you know that the goal was not to get from Point A to Point B. The goal was the journey. In The River, faith is a journey with multiple paths to experience and share abundant life, embodying the historic Christian faith in an authentic community where you can belong before you believe.
Worship is a great place to start exploring how to experience and share abundant life. We encounter the living God, giving thanks and praise and letting God touch and change our hearts. Every week there are snacks and coffee after worship and once each month there is a social lunch to help you make friends. Another way to explore abundant life is at "Beer and Bible" every other Wednesday. There are many ways to 'dip your toe' in The River Church and explore this journey to experience and share abundant life.
Once you have decided to make The River Church your church, the next step is to engage in a Missional Community. Missional Communities are people with a shared interest in service who gather to love and help people in the community. You can read about our existing Missional Communities for adults here and for children and teens here. To discover which Missional Community is right for you, there is a six week bible study called "The Bridge." The Bridge starts June 6 and will meet at 11:45 a.m. on Sundays, right after worship.
Small Groups of five to ten people meet weekly for bible study, prayer, and to mentor each other in how to experience and share abundant life. They are formed out of Missional Communities, so you will be with people you know already.
If you are new to The River, welcome! You can visit our Calendar page to find out when and where to start exploring. Then use our Register page to let us know you are coming. If you have been exploring and are ready to make The River your church, register here for The Bridge and we'll help you find the right Missional Community for you.
Other groups use The River's building for great events, and anyone is welcome to come to these. You can read more about them here, and they are listed at the bottom of our Calendar page.
